Dr. Yun Tiam Tan
I obtained my undergraduate and PhD degree in the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). I was then working as a research associate in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronic in the University of Manchester. I joined the Supergen FutureNet consortium in October 2003 for 2 years. I was working on the contribution of demand side participation in reserve services and its effects on electricity market. I have gained invaluable knowledge through the research work, developed problem solving and analysis skill and meet with different power system expertises from industries and universities.
I am now working in TNEI Services Ltd as a technical consultant. My role is to provide extensive consultancy services on a wide range of power system issues include wind farms connection studies, loadflow and fault analysis studies, generation capability assessment and power system software development.
